Pickleball Labs is run by two Sydney players, Ben Mulherin and Chris Lam. We make the paddle accessories and training aids we always wished we could buy, and now use ourselves.
We saw a gap
Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the world. The gear to actually get better never kept up. Most accessories are generic: grips that slip, training aids that gather dust, covers and tape that were never really made for the sport. We're club players who got tired of working around the same gaps, so we started closing them.
If it doesn't make you a better player, we don't make it.
What we make
High-quality paddle accessories and training aids: grips, lead tape cut for a paddle rather than a tennis racquet, covers that fit the paddles people actually own, quiet foam balls for indoor practice, and trainers like the Flick Stick for the part of your game nobody drills. Some of it we wanted and couldn't find. Some of it we designed ourselves.
How a thing earns its spot
- Purpose. We only build where something is missing, or where we can clearly do it better. No range-filler.
- Quality. Materials and construction we would put in our own bags. If it will not hold up to regular play, it does not ship.
- Development. Every product has to improve your game: sharper hands, cleaner contact, more quality reps.
